Music:: You've got a Boyfriend that looks like a Girlfriend - The Killers

So, yesterday we were invited at my aunt's place. Was really nice. c:
She also lives right across the meadow where the mares of our barn usually have their foals, shamefully not this time. There just were three young horses & our barn owner's old gelding, Garano. Still was really nice watching them. c:

Aside that, our neighbours adopted a little crow. Dear god, that little fellow is so adorable! They found it on the street, where it apparently had eighter jumped or fallen out of the nest. It wasn't a baby anymore, but still not yet able to fly, so our neighbour took it home with her. It's growing so fast, though. Already had all it's feathers, but still that pink baby-mouth & was all round, now it starts looking like a real bird already. c:
She hopes it'll be able to stay in the garden, like, free to fly where it wants, but also stay if it should choose to. Only problem is the family os elsters living in a tree in our garden. They already chased away a crow couple. Well, we'll see.

Other than that, I totally got myself a new Sherlock Holmes book. After I lost these two. XD
One with some short-stories. GAWD! I so very much love Holmes & Watson. :3
Naturally I imagen them to look like Robert Sean Leonard with a moustache & Hugh Laurie shaved. ;3
That new movie coming out around christmas is going to confuse me so much. Eventhough. Seeing the trailers, I'm actually a bit concerned. Y'know, all that Pirates of the Caribbean meets 17th Century London is making me a bit, well, uneasy. Holmes & Watson aren't exactly, y'know, action-heroes. Not to mention *shifty eyes* I'm a leeetle scared of the fangirls this movie might arise. Nothing against fangirls, but. I think you all know the kind of fangirls I'm talking about. XD

Oh. And talking about that, I ran Omen through that silly Mary-Sue-Test. *lol*
Says he's none, though. He's neighter dramatic nor special enough, I guess. c;

I love Sherlock Holmes and it's awesome that you're reading the stories! They are amazing, aren't they? I know far more House fans than Holmes fans sadly. This new film quite honestly doesn't look anything like the Sherlock Holmes I knew and read growing up rather it looks like they simple stamped the name "Sherlock Holmes" on the title and left it at that. No offense to RDJ, he's a talented actor and I certainly won't be the last to admit that I have a small fan-crush on him, but he's just not how I imagined Holmes at all. Not to mention the whole Irene Adler romance has me a little irked; Holmes' dislike for the female sex is notorious in the stories. I am curious to see how Jude Law does as Watson. In fact, I think he'll fill that character's shoes quite well. All the same part of me is excited. If I just disregard all the canon entirely, it promises to be a good film, just not Sherlock Holmes. Ugh, sorry to rant in your comments. :P

If you're enjoying the stories, you should definitely look into the Granada television series from the 80's-90's, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I was fortunate enough to find the entire series on dvd last Christmas but you'll occasionally stumble across episodes on youtube and elsewheres. It is probably the most faithful adaptation of the Holmes stories out there and Jeremy Brett is flawless and absolutely true to Conan Doyle's vision of Holmes. Not to mention you have an intelligent (but not as smart as Holmes) and capable Watson who isn't dumbed down to such a degree as a bumbling buffoon but almost in many ways as Holmes' equal. It's one of the smartest Holmes adaptations out there, I recommend it to any Holmesian.
